Here you can enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner with a beautiful view over the bay of Laganas. It is also a fantastic place to drink a cocktail in the evening.

On the main street of Laganas you will find many bars, clubs, restaurants, fast food, mini markets and souvenir shops.

Boat trips:

From Laganas you can take a boat to Marathonisi (turtle Island) and the Keri caves. You can rent a boat (no license required) or go on an organized boat trip. This is possible with Zante Sea Life Tours. A sunset boat trip to Myzithres is also highly recommended.

In the north of Zakynthos you can visit the shipwreck and the blue caves by boat. This can be done from the harbour in Porto Vromi.

Cameo Island is an islet in the bay of Laganas. It can be reached via a wooden walkway from the port of Laganas/Aghios Sostis. It is a great place for snorkeling.

In Zakynthos town you will find the Aghios Dionysios church, the Solomos museum, nice shops, bars, restaurants etc. There is also an open air cinema, cinenegas.

Directly above Zakynthos town lies Bochali, from Bochali you have a spectacular view over the island. You can also visit the remains of a Venetian castle here. On the other side of Bochali lies Lofos strani, there is a perfume factory, Razi Aroma, the view is beautiful. At this place Solomos wrote the Greek national anthem.

In Vasilikos (the peninsula) you can find some of the most beautiful beaches such as Azurro, Porto Zorro, Plaka beach, Porto Roma and Gerakas. For various water sports you can visit Banana Beach or Aghios Nikolaos Beach.

In Gerakas you will find the turtle rescue center, here you can find a lot of information about the caretta caretta sea turtle.

There are a number of wineries on Zakynthos that you can visit for a wine tasting such as

Grampsas Winery, Callinico winery/museum and Solomos winery. In Aghios Leon there is a small traditional cheese factory. In Lithakia you can visit Aristeon olive press/museum. Here you can taste different types of olive oil.

In Kalithea you can visit Therianos organic farm, where they produce olive oil, raisins, wine, honey and cosmetic products.

In Machairado, Yperagathou and Anafonitria there are monasteries that can be visited.

Porto Limionas, Porto Roxa and Korakonisi are nice places for snorkeling.

There are several water parks, the largest of which is Watervillage in Sarakinado.

And many other activities such as horse riding, cycling, kayaking, hiking, mini golf etc.
