Boat trips, watersports and snorkling

From Laganas you can go by boat to Marathonisi (turtle island) and or the Keri caves. You can rent a boat or go with a tour at Zante Sea Life Tours. Also a sunset tour to Myzithres is fantastic. On the north of the island you can visit the Blue caves and the Shipwreck by boat. You can get on a boat at the harbour from Porto Vromi. If you like any more information about boat rental or excursions please let me know. In Vasilikos you find some of the best beaches like Azurro, Porto Zorro, Plaka Beach, Porto Roma and Gerakas. For watersports you can visit Aghios Nikolaos Beach or Banana Beach. In Gerakas you find the turtle rescue center where you can get a lot of information about the caretta caretta sea turtle. Porto limionas, Porto Roxa, Korakonisi and Cameo are nice places for snorkling.

Cameo island is also nice to visit, it’s a small island close to the harbour from Laganas/Aghios Sostis. You can reach the island via a wooden bridge. In Zakynthos town you find the Aghios Dionysios Church, the Solomos museum, shops, bars restaurants etc. Just above Zakynthos town is Bochali, you have a spectacular view over the Island and you can visit the castle. On the other side you find Lofos Strani, here you have an amazing view over the other side of the island.

On Zakynthos there are some traditional wineries that you can visit for wine tasting like Grampsas Winery, Callinico winery/museum and Solomos winery. In Aghios Leon there is a small traditional cheese factory. In Lithakia you can visit Aristeon olive press/museum.

In Kallithea you can visit Therianos organic farm. They produce olive oil, black raisins, wines, honey, cosmetic products and many more.

You can visit the Monasteries in Machairado, Yperagathou and Anafonitria. There are waterparks in Tsilivi, Kalamaki and the biggest one is Watervillage in Sarakinado.and many more things like horse riding, cycling, kayaking, hiking, minigolf etc.
